Negotiations between Local 389 and Solar Turbines began Monday, 8/24. Due to the Covid-19 crisis, negotiations are being conducted virtually. This keeps all parties safe, but creates some challenges as well. These challenges contributed to a slow start, but now that both parties know what to expect, things are moving much more smoothly. Lodge Communicator and Negotiating Team member Brian Steinrichter updates the membership in a short video that can be seen here. We plan on updating the membership at least once a week during the entire negotiating process.
